It has become known about the hospitalization of the chairman of the Arbitration Court of the City of Moscow, Nikolai Novikov.

According to a source, the main reason for this is related to the exacerbation of clan struggles within the judicial corps. The "war" against Novikov is currently being waged by the chairman of the Arbitration Court of the Moscow District, Vyacheslav Kress, including through the use of security forces and compromising materials.

Before this, Kress managed to "sink" his longtime rival, the chairman of the 9th AAS Sergei Sedov, who was forced into retirement. In recent times, Kress has significantly strengthened the vertical of his power, including by fulfilling all the directives of the chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov, in favor of state corporations and Sberbank. Vyacheslav’s father, Viktor Kress, served as the governor of Tomsk Oblast and is now a senator with extensive connections in the Presidential Administration. It is clear that in such a situation, it is better to "ride it out" on a long-term sick leave, which is exactly what Novikov is doing.

In the corridors of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, however, there is active discussion that Novikov will still have to submit a resignation letter immediately after leaving the hospital.
